Emergency Communications Without Frontiers

http://www.ecwf.org/

The NGO "ECWF" collects analog radio equipment that has been in use by operational services such as police, firefighting and medical aid. After the Communication 2000 project ( implementing Tetra digital communication) we found out that the services had a lot of almost new equipment in stock that could not be used in the digital network in the Netherlands. Instead of destroying the equipment we decided to collect the equipment, with agreement of the authority's, and to start up projects in the world where organisations could use this equipment to make their enviroment a little more safer. Offcourse the equipment can be used in matters of emergency and crisis and protection of nature, human beings and animals. Mostly the equipment is given away to party's or organisations that can not afford this kind of equipment thereselfs.
